SLP Questions

I am looking for the part number for the headers and installation kit for a dual cat w/o AIR system, 1 3/4" headers.

Where do I buy them now that summit has quit carrying them?

Philip,

Do not buy the installation kit. It's a waste of hard earned cash. It includes items that you can piece together at a fraction of the cost of the kit itself. If you want specifics, call me. I also have the instructions, which are included in the kit, not the headers. It includes an itemization. I'd be glad to scan and e-mail them to you.

Willie,

After reviewing my original goals for my Z28, I realized that a big block is probably not the way I want to go. I haven't ruled it out completely yet though.

With that in mind, if I'd stay in the small block format, I'd be willing to spend more on headers b/c I'd be able to keep them.

So SLP w/o AIR 1 3/4" headers are what I'm looking at. I'd be getting the dual cat set up so I could more easily hook them up to my "cat back" system.

Any ideas on how to make those pipes quieter? I saw some exhaust collector inserts that supposedly quiet the exhaust but don't reduce flow..........at least that's what the adds say. Anybody have any experience with these?
