Anybody with headers and Manual Tranny
Anybody with headers and Manual Tranny
I just recieved my headers for my zz430. They are a shory style made by headman. The headers are made for an automatic tranny but I am using a t56. The collector is ends where the slave cylinder bolts on. It looks like it will clear Ok but it will be about a 1 1/2" from the slave cylinder. Is this to close? No one else makes headers for the fastburn heads in our cars. How close do your headers come to slave cylinder and how do you keep them from burning it up?
Don't know how much I will be, but... I have a LB9 305 with a T-5 in my 92. I also have the headman headers. It cleared all the clutch and tranny stuff fine. The only problem I had was it is close to my oil cooler. This might be due to it is the type off a taxi and has no water passages. Hope this helps, if not sorry for wasting your time

I have Edelbrock TES with AFR heads and a Tremec 5sp with no clearance problems with the slave cly-
the cyl has a metal cover plate thats offset a little from the cyl itself -so contact with that plate may not hurt a lot-
good luck
