Long Tube VS Short Tube Headers

I'm looking for headers that are available with a Y pipe for easy fit to stock style exhaust. It looks that the Hedman, TES, Hooker, Dynomax,SLP, etc. are all shorty headers with matching Y pipe. I was hoping to use long tube headers for more HP gain. Are they available? Do shorty headers provide a worthwhile HP gain? How do shorties compare to long tubes. Should I settle for the shorties?

Try Mufflex, they make a y-pipe for the Hooker Super-Comp long tubes. Don't know if it will bolt up to a stock catalyst and whatnot, but Mufflex can answer this.

Are the shortys worth the trouble and expense? Im thinking about going with the hedman system. How much of a power gain could I expect?
