questions on my exhaust.

hey, i know i hav eposted alot of posts lately, this will kinda sum them up,
i am confised as to what i am goign to do here.

currently i have compleat stock exhaust on my LB9 except for i cut the old stock muffler off and got a dynomax superturbo with 2.5 inlet and cross dual outlet.

i had in mind to get this y pipe from slp
http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...RTNUMBER=31031

and connect that to the manifolds and stock cat. should i leave the 2.5 dynomax muffler, the other factory pipes look ok. i was thinking of the edelbrock cat back to go alond with that (i have hit now 500 bucks an di am on a tight buget.) should i do the edelbrock catbact (better sound than superturbo) or the ypipe? it is a daily driven car i never bring to the track but like to have a little stoplight to stoplight fun.
thanks
-Stell

if you want a power increase then forget the catback. Get headers & Y-pipe.

I wouldn't get a set of headers until you have a cat-back system. If you have headers in front of a stock cat-back your headers will out flow the rest of your exhaust and creat massive turbulance and it won't do much for your car. My friend put headers on his 88 IROC with a stock exhaust set up behind it, and all his 1/4 ETs were decresed by were .1 seconds. When he put his Flowmaster cat-back on, his ETs dropped by a whopping .45 seconds! Its just my opinion that you should do a cat-back first, but if you want headers, then be my guest.
