what do you think about resonated tips?

what do you think a resonated tips would sound like on a 2-chamber flowmaster?

will it mellow the sound and make it quieter?

i did have a glasspack to a resonated tip and at idle the sound was pretty much as loud as stock maybe a tick louder(it got too quiet for me and i straight piped it) now it's about the sound of a 2 chamber flowmaster at idle.... with both setups when i get the engine past 2500rpm it SCREAMS i can hear it about 3 blocks away. neither of them have much interior noise for me cause i have this dealer applied sound insulation but i love it going thruogh toll booths...wakes up the toll booth operators hehehehe

I heard a resonated tip today that was just put on. it sounded a little weird like there was a leak or something. do they have to break in and let the fiberglass settle?

I have resonating tips on my car. They were on there when i got it. I think they are pacesetter- monza or something like that. But, the resonating part rusted off of the outer part and all of the fiberglass blew out. Then the resonators set inside and rattled. I eventually got sick of it and took them out. I love they way they sound. I think they make it sound a bit deeper. I like mine, except the fact they rusted apart.
