Anyone who has installed that catback (aerochamber) from hooker: the instructions say you have to weld the muffler on, is this really necessary? Also, did you just clamp the rest of the exhaust together? Any problems? Thanks!

I just clamped everything and I haven't had any trouble. My fried's intermediate pipe kept slipping out so he took it to a muffler shop and they welded the intermediate pipe to the over the axle pipe joint. You will find that the passenger side hanger by the muffler doesn't line up right so you will have to get a long bolt and nut and hang it by the stock rubber hanger, you'll see what I mean when you install it. Good Luck, its a great system you should be very happy!
