Do a search in the archivs as well as current topics. You'll find al the help you'll need and some you won't.
Save up your patience and get ready for knuckle busters and yeah, definetly have an alternate mode of transportation.

Come on. you have the wrong attitude man. Bustin knuckles, getting dirty, it's all part of the fun. You can't go into a job like this with an attitude like that.

I just finished installing Hooker headers last week - here's what I can remember- I got a 355tpi btw

Pass side - install a remote starter solenoid (there is a tech article on how), relocate the Knock sensor to the driver's side, remove the temp sensor in the head or you could mash it up like I did, install the # 8 spark plug before tightening the removable #8 header tube
Driver's side - install the # 7 spark plug and plug wire before tightening the header, I also had to unbolted the master cly to get it in.

I guess thats it

Just take your time. I put my edelbrock system in in about a day by myself. Don' t force the headers into place, you'll break something. There is a certain sweet spot the will allow them to almost fall in. The hardest part for me was the Y pipe connection. Have fun, you will enjoy the difference!

I installed my slp's as my first mod real mod (other than removing the plenum and such) but remember to put penetrating oil on the stock manifold bolts everyday a couple days before you start, might end making a big difference down the road. I didnt have any help from anyone and everything when as well as it could, i was very happy. and yea my hands were swollen to about twice their normal size.
