I wanted to know if the stock exhaust pipe right after the cat but before the muffler is 2.5 inches? Thats what my mufflers' inlet and outlet are but the exhaust pipe looks bigger before the muffler than it does where it enters the muffler. Can anyone help me? I would really appreciate it

If it's a TPI than the outer diameter of the pipe is 2 3/4" from the factory. If it's aftermarket stock replacement exhaust then it may be smaller.

But my Flowmaster muffler has a 2.5 inch inlet so does that mean the whole pipe from the the cat to the muffler is the same?

i used to have that muffler, it has a flare on the inlet. You have to cut that to the size a bit larger than the intermediate pipe and have it welded on. You can use adapters but they only last a couple of months, they rust very quickly.

You've got a 91 Z28 with a 350 engine and t-tops? Thats a rarity...
Your stock exhaust should be 2 3/4". Joseph is correct about the muffler. The shop who installed it should have correctly modified the muffler to fit.
