well in my sig you might be able to see that i have no muffler right now.....it is louder than my friens flowmaster 2 1/2" cat-back on a truck with a 350..but it is still to high pitched for me...my friend has the rumble i want but it sounds muffled....i thought i heard some where that the bigger the exhaust piping the deeper the sound..is this true? would a 3" pipe be louder and deeper than my 2 1/4" ?

I have had a friend(now a 94 TA owner) install a Mufflex/Flowmaster cat back system on his then 92 Grand Prix. He went with larger intermediate piping, and yes, it did give the car a different note/sound. The larger the diameter of your piping, the deeper the tone...at least from my experience. Also depends on the mufflers, cat, headers, etc.
