hi, i just got a used flowmaster from a 96 z28 camaro,and was wondering what i have to do to mount on to my 84 z28, or do i need to do any thing at all besides mounting it? thanks

 

I'm pretty sure that will not be a direct fit. I would check to see how well your peices line up with the original system. You will need to look for the hangers and any other supports and compare those to the new unit. They could be totally different. Also, look at where the Cat would meet the system. I'm not sure how the cat is situated on the newer Z's, but if it is different than yours, you are going to probably need to do some fabricating. The best I can say is make sure you are 100% positive it will work before you cut anything. Good luck.

Is it just the muffler or the whole catback? The muffler is the same, the intrermediate pipe is different. Any muffle shop should be able to make it work pretty reasonably.
