is this correct about TES headers?

He is trying to sell me his headers, will they be the best for my 305 tbi?

I asked him this:
> I think they would be too big for my 305. Thier are two different sizes
> basically, they recommend 1 for 305 and 1 for 350 and heavily modded 305's

This was his answer:
The headers will definately not be too big for your 305, they actually would
work better with 305's than a heavily modded 350. You are thinking about
the difference between 1 5/8 headers and 1 3/4. People usually agree that
the larger header is better for modded 350's. The edelbrock's are actually
the smallest header for a thirdgen. They have 1 1/2" primaries and then
increase to 1 5/8. This is to keep low end torque, which is why this is the
perfect header for a 305.

Actually this is true. I'm assuming you are talking about using TES #6875 specifically for TBI 305 cars. If so you might want to consider going with the TES # 6872 for TPI 5.0/5.7 TPI woth 3" slip fit cat. The collectors and Y pipe are bigger(2.5" compared to 2.25" for TBI) and really help in opening up the exhaust. I've used both and regret not going with the 6872 in the first place.
