Flowmaster Y-pipe for dual cat ?
I called Flowmaster awhile back and they said they do not and will not sell this piece by itself. In the Summit Racing catalog, there is a y-pipe collector that has two primary sizes (2 1/2 and 2 3/4) that dump into a 3" collector.
Has anyone used this collector to build their own y-pipe? This would be MUCH more efficient than the stock y-pipe. I am thinking of trying it when I install headers, but need some imput.
Thanks!

Mo,
At $37.00 from Summit, I think it would be cheaper to have a shop build a Y-pipe around the Flowmaster piece. I am checking on this.

Already have one on order from Summit. Part # FLO-16078. It has been on backorder for almost a month. It should be here next week.

I used it, it's not really a y pipe, more of a y collector. I ran pipes off the long tubes into the y collector and it feeds into the cat-back. I can get pics this weekend.

Odd how the "Y" is in my latest Summit catalog.... In any case, I attempted a link and it didn't work, so I copied and pasted their page below for the dual 2-1/2" to 3" piece. Hope this helps.
