I have looked around and sked many time if there are any shorty 1 3/4 headers no companies seem to make them! Does anyone know of a company that does. I am building a stroker small block for my car and I already have a full four inch single exhaust system and i don't want to dump it for a new dual exhaust with full lenght headers. I just want a set of shorty 1 3/4 headers please help!

Yup, they're the best but they're expensive.

www.slponline.com since no one bothered to post a link for the poor man

Hey I just went to that slp site. I have another few questions. I was just reading that someone had a really hard time installing these headers and had to dimple them quite badly, is this true in every case? Hey Terry did you have a hard time installing them on your car. I know the headers I have right now take like 3 sec to install! Their the flowtech 1 5/8 headers. Also on the site it shows them with a y pipe. Do the headers always come with a y pipe or can you buy the headers seperately on their own?
I've never "dimpled" my SLP's. The problem is the stock hard rubber motor mounts tend to flatten with time, thereby "lowering" the engine. When this occurs, the SLP driver's side header does come in contact with the steering shaft, making it very diffcult (if not impossible) to install the header. My solution was to install a pair of polyurethane motor mounts. I have removed my headers a couple of times since and have had no problems reinstalling them.
I also use ARP header studs in lieu of header bolts. Talk about making header installation a breeze!! Suffice it to say, I'll never use header bolts again.

Yes. I posted the pic above.

No. I have two cats, but the pipes from the header flanges to the cats came with the headers. I'm not sure if you can buy the headers alone. You might want to go to SLP's website and ask on their forum.

fastta,
Some people have had the problem that Willie explained above. I am one of the lucky ones I guess. I did not have to change mounts and had no problems putting the headers in.
Also, you will kick yourself later if you don't get them ceramic coated now.
Good luck!
