I was just wondering how you guys with gutted cats are able to pass inspection. Or do you put one on just for inspection.

 

Not everyplace has a test, like here in rural GA. Atlanta Area requires one.

Detroit Michigan, which is larger than Atlanta does not. I guess it is up to the local gov'ts.

I don't have a cat (gutted or otherwize)period; however, I do feel some guilt in polluting the air. it's on my list to get a high flow cat, but way down the list.

Nowhere in Michigan has any type of smog tests, you can see a hell of a lot of rednecks with cherry bombs bolted directly to their headers. i feel bad about the environment, but i still ripped out all my smog stuff. myt car only sees the road on the way to the track anyway,though.

I Lowered my ar soo much you cant do a visual on my car( I dident gut them I had them replaced by pipe ). Also Im registering my car in a county( I have a friend who lives there )where they dont have smog. I talked to a guy there and if you register a car there your car is smog exemped for life. Ill see if this works out. I so hope it does
