Which exhaust will give me more power, H pipes or X pipes? Just curious.

 

Either. Theory would have it that the X pipe would flow better, but theory also says that bigger pipes make more power, which isn't always true.

Just having a balance pipe would be great. I doubt if there's a 2 HP difference between the two types since their main purpose is to boost low-midrange torque.

H is easier to install. X looks cooler.

 

I've heard an X pipe will, simply because it doesn't have the sharp bends that the H pipe has.

But, personally, I can't justify spending 3-5x the amount for an X over an H.

 

Me either currently. I was planning on an x pipe, but I just want to be able to drive my car and it has been about a year. My stuff to do the duals with h pipe and dynomax bullet mufflers with turndowns before the rear end should be here tomorrow and friday. Summit shipped the main pipes through fed ex and the rest of it through ups. I looked at the tracking crap and it looks like fed ex is still open on new years but ups isnt. I should get the pipes tomorrow and the rest friday.
