ok a buddy of mine has a set of coated headers.. he said i could buy them for $175.00 but then he told me that they were 1-1/2" headers. and i told him that since i am running a 350 i would need bigger. but my question is..

would they be ok in a 305 TBI with just a K&N? my friend has a 1992 RS and he wants it to be faster..

my question is .. are these worth it? especially since they have NEVER been installed, and he paid $175 for the headers to get coated. just curious..

1.5" primaries are a good match for engines under 275-300hp IMHO. Of course the same headers are $80 uncoated new, so if the coating is worth that or not is up to you.

They couldn't hurt a 305, they should help the gas milage amoung other things.
