4 inches

Does anyone have 4 inch exhaust over the axle? I will...but would appreciate any pictures or horror stories. My Friend does trick exhaust, chassis,,,,well he pretty much does anything custom on cars. He says this should be possible. I 'm running Hooker Super Comp headers to dual 3 inch, then y-pipe into 4 inch over the axle into a Flowmaster 4inch Delta flow Race muffler and out to one 4inch tail pipe.....We 'll See?!?!?

Just wondering why not just run one single pipe all the way back. I know the benefits of dual exhaust, but you're exhaust is only as strong as the weakest point.

Just wondering if it really makes sense to run duals into a single exhaust?

Mark, it doesnt sound to me like he is really making what would be considered a dual system, he just used the term for before the merging of the y pipe. It sounds about like the mufflex setup, just custom made instead.

Yes I understand, it's not true duals, but what I was referring to was the fact that he did have two pipes running into one. At one point in the exhaust he has dual pipes, but then it just goes into one, seems to be defeating the purpose of having 2 pipes.

He has two pipes at one point, but they are the pipes coming from each side of the engine.

DUALS?

I have full length headers so I have to start with 2 pipes. When you get to the axle there isn't any room to bring them over which is why i'm jumping to a 4 inch pipe. A single 4 inch pipe has NEARLY the same volume as dual 3 inch and on these cars where exhaust was an afterthought its the best way I have come up with to get the exhaust out the back.
