exhaust next month... how does this sound?

i think this is what i'm looking at. i'm not sure on the specifics yet, but this is what i generally discussed with the guy that's going to do it for me :

SLP 1 5/8" headers and provided the collectors are long enough, cats right after the headers. after the cats an exchange pipe for scavenging (H-pipe, right?). the part that i'm unclear on is two-fold. if A) the cats will run two into one pipe or if B) a pipe from each cat. in essence if it will be true duals or not. i'm thinking it's going to be 2 into 1 so the SLP catback will still fit (with everything else it would be 3" all the way back; that's good enough flow, right?).

his explanation for skipping the Y-pipe and dumping straight to the cats was to cause them to "light off" faster. i lost the concept of what this was in garage noise. any explanations here?

so! i'm looking at SLP headers --> dual CatCo cats (3" universal?) --> SLP catback. i'm anticipating a real seat of the pants difference... i can't wait! thanks for comments & help.
