Problem w/ fitting of Headers to Y-Pipe

I have the Ceramic Coated Flowtech Headers and Y-Pipe. I cannot hookup the Y-Pipe to the collectors b/c there are obstructions in the way. The driver's-side pipe will run right into the oil pan and the passenger side does not line up with the cat. There are 3 tac welds holding the mount on the collector. Can I break the welds and spin the mount around. That way everything will line up, just the pipe seems alittle too long (Perhaps I need to cut off some of the end). Does anyone have this experience with flowtechs. Also, the Y-Pipe and the Cat are the Exact same diameter.......talk about sh!tty crap?!

are you saying the y pipe is already welded? mine came in two pieces. i just bolted them up slid the parts together and drove to a muffler shop to get the welds made. did you have it welded before you got it on the car? if you did, you probably just didnt have the two pieces twisted the right way.

Sorry, if my post was confusing. But, the Y-Pipe pieces are not welded. The mount on the end of the header collector is tac welded. To line up the header and y-pipes......it is WAY OFF. But, I think it will work if the mount on the header, can spin around the collector. I was pretty sure some other headers came this way.

The flanges on mine were at the wrong angle too.
