Edelbrock TES Headers and Air Conditioning

I drive a stock 1988 Camaro IROC 305 TBI.

I would like to get the Edelbrock TES headers for my camaro, does anyone know if I will need to have the air conditioning depressurised and removed for installation?

Cheers

Yes and no. You can install the headers without the AC housing off (where the evaporator and reciever/dryer are located) but you would be much better off if you were to remove the hoses, as you will end up having to remove the compressor. If you do not use the AC often, remove it altogether when you install the headers. You will lose around 50 pounds, and gain about 3-6 horse if the system is completely off, as well as having better air flow through the radiator. Think about it, but if you are going to turn the car into an all out street machine, you will end up doing it sooner or later.
