Am i hurting My car with this exhaust??????

Hey guys whats up, thanks for all the previous help.

Check it out, ever since when I bought my firebird(91 305 TBI) it came with some cheap muffler, probably stock and it was like the exhaust of a V6, u know just one exit instead of two. I wanted to get rid of that so I bought a flowmaster 2 chambers, I didnt have enough money for the one that goes with these cars u know, the bigger one with dual exhaust.
so Im still runnin with that one and it runs good and all and it makes a decent sound , but am I chokin the engine too much or what?

Thanks

--oh yeah, one more thing can I install 3inch pipe with the one muffler I have right now????

no, actually u probably flow better than the 3 chamber two exit models. I just personally dont like the single pipe look

Hey SPEEDBOX,

The setup you have is similar to the one that came stock on the '96-97 SS Camaro's built by SLP. Thats why if you see an SS with stock exhaust and only 1 tailpipe, thats why. I dont think SLP would have went with this setup if it was not beneficial for performance. From what ive head the regular flowmaster mufflers are "supposed" to flow better than the ones designed for '82-92 F-body's. Just my 2 cents on the subject.
