exaust flame shooters

is it true that the flames that it makes can go back into you muffler and blow it up like some earlier reply said on flame shooters?

you're not supposed to have a muffler with flame shooter exaust. You run straight pipes all the way with the car running super rich and sparkplugs near the exaust tips. Or you can run propane or something to the tip for fuel but that seems like cheating

My friend's rustang at high rpm's will sometimes go "pop" and if your behind him at night, you can see a spark from his tailpipe, and he's got no plugs or anything back there.

A friend of the family has flamethrowers on his 52 merc it works by have a set of spark plugs in the exhaust and use a manual choke and a switch hooked up to the coil you pull the choke out which floods the engine makeing fuel go into the exhaust then you hit the switch which will turn on the extra plugs there are new stand alone systems you mount in the trunk with a battery and a fuel nozel mounted in the exhaust pipe. This guy has won 3 flam e throwing contests
