Going from single to dual cats......worth it?
I have a 406 motor with SLP 1 3/4" headers going into a single 3" Random Technologies cat then into a Mufflex 4" system. Would be converting to dual cats make a big difference? How much would it cost to do something liket that?
Thanks

In my opinion, I think it would benefit getting dual cats or just replace your existing cat with a 4" pipe. I know some people on this board will argue that 3" is enough, but what's the point of spending the extra money on a 4" exhaust if you are only going to bottleneck it with a 3" cat before it. No matter how large your exhaust or intake track is, it will only flow as much as the smallest bottleneck will allow. So with your 406, you may not be realizing the full potential of the motor with that 3" bottleneck.
Allright everyone can bring on the flames and get the big debate started all over again. Just remember, I said this is my opinion.
