how to stop exhaust leaks?
i am putting flowtech headers and y pipe on my car, i am also cutting out the cat and putting in a pipe. i dont have a welder so i have to use clamps. i was wondering if they leak? is there anything i can use to seal them like liquid steel or silicon or anything? what should i do? thanks

You really need to have your pipe welded. The joints will last longer without leaking. Try a muffler shop, most of them are pretty reasonable.

alright, is there any way to weld it with a hand held torch? if not how much do you think it would cost a muffler shop to install my headers and remove the cat?

why would they leak if clamped properly? That's how I had mine with headers, stock cat-back and no cat, and never leaked.

I don't have headers on THIS car, but all the exhausts I've done in my life, I've used clamps and I never had leaks.
