Should i put my catalitic converter back on?

I was wondering this, because i am sick of smelling that awful exhuast smell. I was just wondering if by putting a cat back on, will i lose power and will my exhaust be quieter?

I bought the Catco high-flow 3" universal cat from Summit for 50 bucks. It's a fairly cheap investment and it's worth it. You don't want to be caught by the cops without a cat. Big fines. I have heard that high-flow cats flow just a little bit less that a straight pipe, but I have no data to back this up. You really don't have much to lose at all by putting a cat on, as long as you don't use a stock one. Just my 2 cents worth.

It may just give you back a bit of low-end torque...and will make your exhaust deeper Go for it, man.
