4in all the way no cat?

What do I need yo make a 4in exhaust with out a CAT. Everything stock on exhaust now. Like what headers, Ypipe, and mufflers? Or would a 3in be better?

92 Camaro 305 TBI. Everything stock so far except a shift kit.

Future mods. Spark plug wires and plugs, tint, Cutting off cat and new 3inch pipes. Maybe putting 2 glass paks for effect. any other advise on getting to 300+ HP would be appreciated. Thanks

you definately don't need a 4" exaust for a 305 TBI

Any reasons why.. And what would be the pros/cons of a 3in compared to a 4 in? Also what would be a good setup without a cat on a 3in then?

because you're not flowing nearly enough air to warrant it.

for our 305 TBI's, you don't need anything near a 4" pipe...hell, a full 3" system is large for ours (without a cat). If you go with too big of a pipe, then you end up losing too much torque, which will actually make your car less powerful.
