Recommend a catback system for me

Keeping a single catalytic converter, and under $300, I want a dual exhaust catback. Pick something for me.

There is no dual exhaust cat-back for a single cat system, I don't even know if there is one for a dual cat system. Not in the aftermarket anyway.

You can but a regular cat-back from Hooker that is first class, and under $300. It's $259 to be exact from Jegs. Here's a picture.

I see now, you WANT a dual outlet cat-back. Why didn't you say so?
I still recommend the Hookers dual outlet cat back. I have it on my car and it is awesome. Do a search for "hooker" and see what the rest of the board says. You won't find one person un-happy with them I guarentee that. Price is right too.
Did you see the picture I linked in the second post?

I think the HO stands for "high output". And your 305 TBI engine code is L03.

The TBI 305 (L03) falls under Non HO. The same as 82-87 LG4 4 bbl 305's.

Since you live in Michigan like I do, theres a way to save $60. Since we're in MI, we are not subject to emissions testing-so you really dont need that catalytic converter. Cut off the cat and order the system for the 305 HO($200 from Jegs). Cut off the first few inchs of pipe that would be right after the converter. Now just weld in a piece of straight pipe or clamp in a piece of flex pipe between the Y-pipe and the cat-back. Simple as that. Sounds like a lot of work but it isn't. You'll also get a louder exhaust out of the deal.

Sorry to interrupt the post, but what kind of a sound would that cat-back make? Closer to stock, or more like a lion growling under water(lol, that's the best comparison i could come up with)? Also how well would it work with a v6?
