Steering shaft bump

I put the infamous SLP headers on my car with no problems, I have been driving the car for a while now, and all of the sudden my steering feels notchy, so I open the hood to find that my steering shaft is now rubbing on my headers. I said, "What the ****?" How is it possible for the stuff to move around? My engine mounts are not broke, my header isn't falling off. Anyway, more importantly, how the heck do you move the steering shaft over? I have read all the posts that say remove the top bolt, what good does that do? I just want to move it 1/8". I don't want to take my headers off just to lightly dent my headers. I have tried to move the steering shaft with a 5' pry bar, but short of breaking the thing, it just moves a couple of inches and then goes right back to where it was. Any help for me?
