My true dual exhaust with x pipe

Well after a lot of looking into exhaust systems, i decided it was time to go dual. It was hard finding a shop that would weld it up for me, but my exhaust is basically bolted to the underside of my car with rubber mounts, it couldnt get much higher. Its low for an exhaust system, but I swear my single bullet setup was just as low in some spots, and I have been careful over speed bumps and have yet to bottom it out. I wont attempt steep driveways tho, not worth it to me. Anyways, here are some pics. Hedman Ellite Ceramic coated headers, 2 1/2" pipe to an X pipe to 2 1/2" bullet mufflers to turndowns. Here are some pics for you:

Looks nice. I just finnished my dual 2.5 with h pipe and bullet mufflers. I havent been able to start the car yet because I am waiting for a carb for it but think it should sound awsome. How loud is yours by the way? I dont mind loud or I wouldnt have gone with this setup, but I dont really want open header loud because I started my car up with open headers and about deafened myself.

It is quite quiet actually, it has an awesome sound to it when you are on it. I have been told it is the X pipe that makes it quiet, but X pipes are supposed to build power too, so its a trade off I am willing to make

Yes, that is what I have heard too. I have heard that the h pipe is supposed to quiet it to but not as much as an x pipe. I should be able to find out how loud it will be next weekend. How loud do you think yours was compared to the normal cat backs?

With all honesty, previously I had a ****ty Hedman Y pipe (2 1/4" primaries into a 2.5" pipe) then i had 3" pipe welded onto that and a 3" bullet muffler, and it was way louder than this setup is now. The exhaust also ended at the bullet muffler tho, this setup has about 15" of pipe after the mufflers. I think if I cut that extra pipe off it would get a bit louder, but I am starting to enjoy being able to talk to passengers in my car now . I would say it is just slightly louder than your average catback, maybe not as loud or as obnoxious as a flowmaster catback, but I really am happy with this setup!
