Subfrmcnx/dual-cat assmbly prob-HELP!!
Well, I seem to have noticed a problem-right where my subframe connectors and the dual cat assembly pipe meet underneath the passengers side door, the 2and1/4" pipe has a nice 4" long bend in it as if though it has been pounding against the subframe connector-I'll try and get a pic with my roommate's digi-cam. First off, did the dumb@ss at the shop where I had these things put in do it the wrong way, or is this a common problem on these? Second, how easy is it to fix?
I also tend to beleive one of the cats has gone bad, and every shop around here says they cannot install high flow cats b/c of the federal paperwork involved. When I asked them about fabbing a piece of equal length even if I provided an Edelbrock TES system or something that includes the dual to single "Y" pipe, they gave me the same horse manure. Can ANYONE lead me in the right direction or offer a shop in the Northern Va area that may be able to cure my problem?? I dont particularly want to spend around 1500.00 for the original assembly alone that has the not so great factory cats on it.
Thanks, everyone.---Chris---
