Hedman Shorty Camaro Headers
Hedman Shorty Camaro Headers
Has any one had good luck with these? did they last long, were they a b*tch to install?
Did you get a decent power increase?
Sorry for the disorder but I don't think well after work.
Jay
PS they are part number 500-68481 in the Jegs catolog.

I had them then took them off and put cast manifolds back on after a few years noticed a little power decrease (all in upper rpm's) but letts talk about fit had to rerought fuel lines mine were on right side same header had to be dimled (more like caved in) for starter clearance then had to cut off a peice of trans bellhousing (th350)could not use flywheel cover and had toreplace collector gaskets one after another i've had other brands that never needed them but on the bright side the driver side fit great all that was needed was to bend the brake lines over a little
i had these on my previous 3rd gen. get them jet hot coated. i had great success w/ them, along w/ the duals backing them! i liked them so much i have a set on my current 3rd gen. if you have any more ???'s, i'll be glad to help if i can.
i have these headers currently on my camaro and i've had them for about three years. i think they're GREAT!! they took me about 2 1/2 hours to install and i didn't have any problems with them hitting fuel lines or having to cut up tranny's or anything.
I had them w/ the matching Y pipe on my 82 Z28 before I got long tubes and they were dollar for dollar the best headers I ever bought. Mine fit w/ no problem. I used Fel-Pro 1 5/8 header gaskets and Percy's aluminum collector gaskets and I they never leaked. I actually ran 12.52 @ 107 with those headers. I am going to reuse them on my 89 RS, until I get the L98 built to go in it, then I am planning on getting one of the nicer, coated set-ups. They are a great ecomony header, and are MUCH better than the manifolds you are replacing.
