Best Performing Exaust
I don't know if you guys get this post alot, so if you do I am sorry. But what is the best performing exaust system? Headers, cat, and cat back system? I don't want it to be to loud, and I don't care how it sounds, just as long as it doesn't sound bad. I mainly just want to make my car faster. Thanks

That's what I've got. Over 420 RWHP with 383 and Mini-ram, T-56 and 12 bolt

it totaly depends on the combo you are running. for a 305TBI/TPI I would say, SLP1 -5/8" headers with a good 3" exaust like Borla or SLP, for a mild 350 it would be 1-3/4" SLPs with the same catback, for a hot 350 or bigger it would be 1-3/4" SLPs and a 3"+ single exaust system. for over 450HP it would probably be long tubes and a 4" system

I have the 305 right now, but I am thinking about updating to a higher horsepower engine in a while, so I want to modifiy my car so that it will be ready when I put it in. So it wouldn't hurt performance right now if I put in a bigger exaust system in right now with the 305 would it? Becuase if I put in the exaust for the 305 right now, I would have to buy a new exaust when I put the bigger engine in.
