Help a new guy get started
I am pretty young and have loved cars all my life, I really didnt start getting into them until I was 16, I am only 19 now and still have a very limited knowladge about them, I just bought my first sports car, a car Ive wanted for a long time, its a 1988 formula firebird, I wanted to put a new exhaust system on and I have found one that I liked online and read it was pretty good, it is a RPM Series® Cat-Back Systems, now I just spent all my money on this new car and have just enough for this cat-back I dont have enough to pay someone to install it, so I was wondering, pleading for someone on here to help me install it myself and to tell me how easy or difficult it would be for me to do it. I can follow instructions very well and am very good at figuring stuff out I just need a little guidance cause I dont want to screw it up, also I was thinking of buying a performance Catalytic Converter and was wondering how to replace my stock with that as well. anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.
Had you posted this a week ago I could have helped you, I was staying with my uncle in Liverpool and I would have been more than happy to help you. Especially since no one up there seems to own any performance cars. I saw like one Vette and maybe a dozen or so V6 f-bods, but that was it.
How mechanically inclined are you? Its not too hard. Just some simple hand tools a jack and stands and a Saturday afternoon is all you need. Oh, and if you haven't bought the system yet, dont! Get the Hooker cat-back, just trust me, it sounds much better than the Edelbrock and its costs less too! Email me and I'll give you further instructions on how to do it.
