what results do headers without A.I.R. tubes have on emissions as far as the sniffer test is concerned?
does the absence of the AIR system confuse the O2 sensor at all?
those tubes seem to always be in the way

i dont know exactly what will happen but, i do know it is possible for a car without the smog junk to pass emissions. i do know if you go for an inspection, and you dont have the air tube headers and hoses they can fail you. visual inspection of emission control equipment is part of (supposed to be) a vehicle inspection. regardless if it passes the sniffer. not saying they will fail but they can if they want. and i dont think it cinfuses o2 sensor any!

50 bucks under the table usually passes the emissions test in my state, ahahaha

 

I wish 50 bucks could pass me.
we got these brand new expensive testing sites with big buildings and computers that the testers dont know how to use. Its the biggest waste of money I have ever seen.
Last year when they went to put my car on the rollers to give it the test they had to come ask me if it was FRONT or REAR wheel drive. IF they dont know that Im sure the AIR tubes wont give it away. I almost thought about saying front and watching them drive through the wall of their brand new building, but I dont think my insurance covers that.

good point. Now I have something to look forward to next year. I will video it and post it on the page.
I would almost like to find another 1990 firebird that will pass and paint it red so I can put it in storage and bring it out just to pass emissions. Then I can do whatever I want with my real car and just use the plates from the one that passes.
