exhaust for 87 IROC
exhaust for 87 IROC
I just purchased a all stock 87 Iroc with the 5.7.I can't afford headers and new exhaust all at one time. Will putting a new high performance exhaust system be a good addition by itself or should I wait to do both at same time.I don't plan on doing any engine mods, just some easy upgrades. Thanks for any advice.
I got a 3" Hooker System from Jegs for $260 for my 87 IROC. The system was a breeze to install and it made a big difference. I would recomend going 3" all the way back, from y-pipe to tail pipes. If you have a 3" y-pipe on there now, you could get a 3" high flow cat for $110 and then the cat-back for $260, then save the headers for later. If you have a 2.5" y-pipe, wait to get the cat till you have the headers which come with a 3" y-pipe.
