Mufflex 4" Exhaust System

Has anyone Had any experience with the 3" Y-pipe and 4" Catback that Mufflex has going. I supposed to hook to the Hooker long tubes. I have to run long tubes in order to run the heads that I bought for my motor(didn't know this at the time)but I don't want to let some shop run a crap job under my car. Any info please.

Man, what kind of heads did you get?
I know a guy here in houston thats got it on a LS1 car, I can ask him about it next time I see him.
Do you ever go out to HRP?

The heads are Brodix Track 1's. I built the motor for the Banks twin turbo setup that I have, but I think I'm going to just keep my supercharger and sell the Twin setup. With the Banks manifolds the spark plugs obviously clear, but there aren't any shorty headers that will clear the spark plugs on the Brodix.....So now my SLP's are no good....Anyway, Thats the story. I called Brodix and they told me that I had to run the long tube header.....

Have you tried using Acell's short header plugs? Ive heard of people being able to use headers with these plugs that otherwise would not fit with regular plugs.

Unfortunately, even with the accel header plugs the Brodix would have to be converted to a tapered plug and sunk in about an extra 1/4 inch. I like my P/P aluminum d-ports but in order to get them to hold up reliably to the blower and nos I would need to do some more mods to them....the Brodix are ready to go as they are, plus their already bolted to the motor and everythings assembled...in order to make the mods to the d-ports I would need to pull them off the 406 which is currently in the car and that would leave me car less for an unspecified amount of time.....so I figure the only way to go is leave the 383 fully assembled and find a suitable exhaust system. I've seen the mufflex system on the 4th Gen and liked the way it looked and sounded but have never seen any on the 3rd Gen.....I'm concerned about the clearence of the Super Comps and whether or not the mufflex system will clear the Lakewood bell housing and the TKO tranny. Any suggestions?
