Flowtech Terminator mufflers

Since the "Search Option" is down, I was hoping to get some opinions from anybody that has used these mufflers. This is the black muffler that says "Bite Me" on the casing. I was j/w how the sound was........deepness, volume, etc. Thanks!

I don't have those, but I do have the cheap Flowtech "Raptors" on my '83 1/2 ton. They cost about $15/ea and sound pretty darn good IMO. They've got a nice deep sound without sounding raspy.

I know they're not the same muffler, but they're the same company. And if the cheap ones sound good, then the 'slightly more' expensive ones should sound better, right?

i've been looking at that muffler to. i might just buy it, i've seen charts on it and i must saythat they look good. 2 .5" crossflow flows better than a flowmaster. i also like the price.

Well, I was set on getting the Flowtech Terminator muffler after reading revies, charts, and prices. But, now I am also considering their AfterBurner muffler. The Terminator is $68 and the AfterBurner is $50, from SummitRacing. I really want an aggressive sound. Any opinions?

I am looking for a crossflow with 2.5" inlet/outlets? I could get a 3" and use an adaptor but, I would like to avoid that? I have also considered.....hooker aerochamber, flowmaster 80 series, and the edelbrock rpm. Right now I have a headers, gutted cat, and a Dynomax Super Turbo cat-back on the LO3. Still too quiet though. Thanks for the replies!

Summit Fully welded is a great muffler for 39 bucks!

it took second a few years ago in one of the shootout's.
(mufflers under 40 bucks, think it was Car Craft.)
Borla took first, however the Borla was supposedly louder.

It's quiet inside the vehicle, but has a quiet rumble at idle, and is throaty, but not ignorant at 3000 rpm's

I've had it on two trucks now..... and am ready to use two on the 327 pickup......

they don't offer a crossflow design though.
Truck muffler.

(I hate flowmaster's drone in the car at 50 mph.......)

Sounds almost identical to a Flowmaster.

Great durability.

Summit is like Radio Shack.....
they have everybody else's stuff rebadged as their own....
It probably is a Flow.
The Fully Welded Muffler sounds alot like a flow, just without the drone.
and hey, for 40 bucks!

I have heard that the Terminator muffler sound will change with time... too bad the search is still down, i'm sure someone asked about that muffler before.

No. Flowtech is owned by Holley and is not a Summit brand.

Yes it will get slightly louder over time. Not by much however.
