Best Headers for my Car??? SLP??

Is SLP the best Headders for my car...I have an 89GTA with a 350tpi, No Current Mods...yet. What Size tubes would be optimum. I'm also thinking of going with AFR 195cc Heads in the Future so I need some headers that will be compatible with those also.

SLP's are good for your engine (1 3/4), but are expensive. Check the archives for more info on this topic.

If you have the money get the SLP's, I couldn't quite afford the over $400 at the time and got the Edelbrock, when I first put them on my 305 I definately noticed a power and sound gain. The good thing about the SLP's is they come coated, my TES headers are now rusty looking.

I know a guy running 1 5/8 on a 383 that will revt o 7k

1 3/4 is probably a bit big for a STOCK engine

depends on if you're after torque or HP
1 3/4 for carb
1 5/8 for TPI

My friend has a 89 Iroc-Z with 1 3/4 and was VERY happy with them. 14.2 @ 98mph with a 2.1X 60 ft. 2.0 60ft and hes hitting 14 flat. That was awhile ago though, he had free mods at the time. Now he has chip and removed smog and hits 14.0, with a decent 60ft again he is all 13's with an exhaust, not to shabby with 2.77 gears. He knows lots of **** though, if i had his knowledge i wouldnt have hit a 14.4 after my header installation, stupid 5spd 2.16 60fts, they are no good in 1st gear!

14.4 @ 94mph w/2.0622 60ft (w/o headers and catback)

14.426 @ 96.19mph w/2.167 60ft(w/headers and catback)
