I am about to drop my 383 into an 87 Camaro. My hedders are 1 3/4" Hooker Super Comps. The engine is still on the stand and I would much rather put them on now rather than after the engine is installed.

Will that work or is it better to insatall the hedders after the engine is in?

It may be easier to hold the engine a few inches above the mounts and then place a couple bolts to hold the headers in place,then lower your engine and mount the headers.I had to raise my car and engine to get my super comps in.
