headers or maifolds?

I've heard from a few people that the stock exhaust manifolds from a 350 will flow as good as headers when put on a 305, and also run cooler. I was just wondering if this was true, or if i should just put on some headers. If headers are the answer, what is a good set. i've been looking at the flowtech's in Summits catalog and alos the holley's. thanx

There is no comparison between the two....go with headers, look in the archives for what brand suits you.

Depends on what type of engine you are hooking them up to. Many people here feel that stock 350's and smaller should get the 1 5/8 headers. But the 1 3/4 headers work well too.

Shorties will probably be easier to install and give you less clearance problems.

Last time I lived in MD, they had emissions so whatever headers you get should have AIR tubes and O2 sensor fittings with them
