will this work: hollow cat without losing much low end

what if I hollow out my cat, and put in a 2 3/8 or smaller piece of pipe. since the pipe is small wouldn't that help some of the low end. when I put my cat back on I was going to gut the cat but decided that I need all the low end I can get.

dont worry about the loss of lowend, if there is any, you wont notice it. I recently hollowed out my dual cats and the car has never felt stronger. It does make it louder though! Anyway this is what I noticed, your results may vary, but I doubt it.
