hooker 2210 & y pipe

Hi there i have just ordered my hooker headers 2210 (bare) i'll have to find a place that ceramic coat them in my city...
Anyway, what i want to ask if any of you had the Single Cat exaust on your car before making the swap (cat under passenger seat).
I would like to make the exaust go the exact same route and use the hooker catback later on. so with a custom make Y pipe , this should work ,right? So if any of you did it, if you have pic, or just tell me if it's all good with that 3" tubes around.

I'm not in a hurry, they wont get installed before summer time.
thanx Yanick

I dont see that happening. You can get a custom y pipe made so you can connect into the catback, but it will be further back than it connects stock. The headers stick back a way on their own.

I was wondering the same thing. I want to go to single exhaust because i want to lower my car, but i havent decided yet if i will be able to keep my long tubes or go with shorties from headman, dont know how big of power loss i would have.

If you plan on lowering the car I would probably go with shortys. From what I have heard you wont loose a large amount of power going with shorties.

y pipe & catback

Well, when i'll have the longtube in my hand maybe i'll see why most ppl with longtube go duals

so if i would do a custum Y with a major bent toward the pass side, then just shorten the "long pipe" of the Hooker catback, i should be good to put a HighFlow Cat (that hopefully will not be as big (in the size & clearence needed) then the stock huge & ugly cat.

I have a T5... but thanx for the nice pics yeah that preaty far away, also i'm not thinking of lowering the car, the roads here are not low rider friendly.

thanks Yanick
