If i put headers on my TBI 305 that have no AIR tubes on them, like Flowtechs, will it harm the emissions on the car? If so, is there a way i can drill and tap the headers to accept the AIR saystem without paying an insane amount of money for headers that are made with them? thanx

Look into hedman headers, Not sure about fabbing up air tubes, but you wont pass smog without them

The AIR tubes in the exhaust are used when the engine is first started in open-loop mode. The extra air helps to complete combustion and also heat the catalytic converter quicker.

I think the cheapest setup with AIR is probably going to be Headman shorties. Not a bad pice, but you'll have to have a Y-pipe made!

You can get a hedman y-pipe for like $100, it only fits certain headers though, not sure which ones, look in Summit or Jegs, I know I've seen it in one of those

I've seen the hedman's you're talking about, but theyr're expensive! I was thinking about Flowtechs and drilling them to accept the AIR tubes.

Not sure of the model #, but I had two sets of the headmans with AIR tubes. Had a local shop fab the y-pipe due to my dual cats. I only paid $100 for the headers off this board.
