What headers provide the best bang for the buck? Any real diff be tween a shorty and full size header? Any recomendations past experinces? thanks?

i just put slp 1-3/4" headers on my 91 Z. i love but i kinda wish i went with the full lenght hooker super comps. however those arent smog legal and require either a mufflex off road y-pipe (all so not a smog friendly piece) or a custom made one. id go with the slp headers 1-5/8 for a 305 or stock 350 or 1-3/4 for modified 350 or larger
