Running like a three-legged dog; exhaust?
Running like a three-legged dog; exhaust?
Out of the blue the other day, my '85 started running like crap. I had a new air management tube put on last weekend and the guy at Midas said I had a cracked headpipe. Could that have turned into a large crack that is causing enough of a loss in backpressure to affect performance? If so, how bad might it run as a result of this? Need help soon!!!

i'd figure i'd help you since no one else is. Are you running header, or stock manifolds? It sound like you have crack your manifold or header, which means that you have no power. remember no backpressure mean no power, and to much backpressure means no power. In my opinion get a new set of headers if you don't have ones already, and don't take it to Midas anymore, they do thing to cars to make more money. Like I always say, "Fix it yourself, because your best macanic is the one who drive the car the most."
