Header Install Question???

Since the stock manifolds are so much thicker than aftermarket headers, how do I put those bracket deals back on for the A/C and Alternator??

If you need more info as to what I'm talking about ask me please, I'm stumped, I've never done headers before.

I just installed SLP shorties and the header flanges had spacers already welded to them.

It was a slam dunk install. All brackets bolted right up.

The only thing we had to do was weld up the pipe at the converter. (we installed the SLP "Y" pipe.

Did you already buy your headers? If so then don't worry about those brackets. They're just there for extra bracing(I hope). I'm getting into the same thing with my serpentine swap. I've been looking at the bracketing, and I think I can get by without it. When I had these headers with my V-belt setup I never had a problem.

you can also purchase a header A/C bracket. i think that will be your best bet unless you have the SLP headers that i guess have the spacers

You can have an exhaust shop weld some spacers to the brackets. If not they will have problems with noise and moving around and the berings will die young.
