Broken up cat hurts or helps performance ?
The insides of my cat rattle a lot when you bang on the bottom of it. I supphose it's breaking up and falling down somewhere, or being pushed somewhere by the exhaust flow. Is it moving out of the way of the exhaust flow, 
or into the way 
??? I have noticed the car seems less quick since I bought it 3 years ago, but I thought maybe I was just getting used to a fast car.
