I think Im using those, I can't remember..lol.. if they are 45 bucks from summit, thats what I have. Depending on what headers you have, you will probably need some new heat resistant wrap for your wires. I bought six boot covers for like 40 bucks, they did the job nicely.

You NEED 90 degree spark plug wires. Clearance between the plug and header will be tight (about 1/4 inch) but shouldn't cause any problems. Coated headers helps.

You can get wire looms for that dress-up look.

But some well placed tie-wraps will do the trick too.

There are several routes you can go.

Here are some of the options I found.

Starting with Jegs.....

MSD # 121-3408 $9.99
Heat guard sleeving, does complete V8 set of wires. offer heat protection and allows cool air to pass though which also prevents moisture build up.

Spectre # 865-9002A $12.99
Braided hose in red, blue and white/silver. Protects up to 1400°F and fits 7-9mm plug wires. Comes in a 10 foot roll. Champbands are needed to complete look/installation. (could not find a part #)

Going with Summit.....

Taylor (no part # given in catalog)
See page 125 of new catalog. $ 48.95

Taylor 8mm Braided Ignition wire set.
All the work is already done for you.

Accel # ACC-8008B $42.95

Braided ignition wire set w/90° boots. Can withstand high heat and have 8mm wires.

Taylor plug boots # TAY-2560 $52.95 for a set of 8.
Comes in 6 different colors.

Made for you wire looms for center bolt valve covers.
# MFY-5035611 $41.69 for a set.
Offers 6 different colors.

Well, that should give you enough to make a decision as to what you want and what your budget can afford.
Let us know which route you decide to go and how it worked out for you.

I'm interested in hearing the results.

You don't need 90 degree boots, in some situations it doesn't really help. You can't know the clearance without knowing what type of headers he is installing, they are not all the same. I would urge against using tie wraps, they look pretty trashy and you can't use the cheap plastic ones because they will melt.

I would go with the braided hose from spectre, it seems to be the cheapest and most wrap is only 1000-1200 degrees. 10 feet is also going to last you a long time, you will only need to wrap a small part of the wire.
