Stock GTA exhaust

Ok, my GTA's muffler has a one in ( coming fro dirvers side ) and two out ( from the passenger side ). are they suppose to come like this or are they suppose to have the one in and two out coming from both sides? it sounds deep but more popping than anything...the y pipe has a hole about the size of a nickel and he cat is original from what I can tell the muffler is too, I am looking into gettin a Flowmaster 80 series or if not a Hooker Aerochamber for my L98, what do you all think on the sounds, I want a noticeable idle and a loud WOT, you can hear the lopiness of the cam from the hole in the y pipe more than the muffler, please help......AARON

The stock exhaust comes over the axle on the passenger side. Tailpipes exit on both sides. You should have a crossflow muffler if it's stock. Please see the attached photo. I hope attachments are working right now.

If you have a two-on-the-left exhaust, you may have a stainless steel SLP system. Are you sure that you have your passenger's/driver's side orientations correct? Which side is the exit?

It's not the stock muffler. Stock is a crossflow, 1 in on the pass. side, 1 out on the pass side and 1 out on the drivers side, Like the pic in the above post. SLP makes a 2 on the left cat-back for our cars. Is the muffler stainless steel?

SLP mufflers Here's a link to with a few pics of there mufflers. I believe the 2 on the left design outflows any crossflow design mufflers. I would just get the holes/cracks in your y-pipe fixed first, or better yet a set of headers and y-pipe, it'll give you HP and make your exhaust a lot louder. Not sure if that answers your question or not.
