exhaust cutouts

Engine: I have one that runs ;)
Transmission: Caged hamster that runs really fast
Axle/Gears: They are round, I know that much
exhaust cutouts
yes, i did a search and found nothing to answer my question. with cutouts, what do they do besides give a loud **** "here i am" statement to the world, do they actually increase hp or performance? whatever i can learn is awesome, thanx

they bypass the entire exhaust system from the cutout back reducing backpressure. It really all depends on the rest of ure exhuast and where the cutout is placed, but most guys drop .2 to .3 tenths in the 1/4 when open.
